Koenen Kennels is located in the northwest corner of Iowa with plenty of fresh air and beautiful views.  Our puppies are socialized by our family of 4 children and house dogs.  We started in 1995 with our first Pomeranian, Misty, and has since grown to include Maltese and Morkies.  To answer the questions as to which breed we love the most it is very hard.  Each breed comes with it's own special qualities and personalities that we just love.  We pride ourselves in bringing you quality puppies bred to the breed standard and placing them in loving homes where they will give joy and love to their new family.  Let us help you find that perfect puppy that fits your personality and lifestyle.

Oh My!  Where has the time gone????

A frequently asked question is how are our puppies socialized.  Our 3 daughters and son are the best puppy socializers I could find!  They have progressed from wrapping them in their baby blankets or putting them in a wagon and giving them kisses to sneaking them in their rooms for a snuggle and nap.  I didn't know being a teenager is such hard work!  The puppies still get their kisses though!
